Their adoption process

1.

Interview

We vet all people fully by phone.

2.

Submit Application

We require the application and a video of the home, yard, places the dog will be.

3.

Meet the Pet

We meet with the people at my home (typically). See how the pet responds to them.

4.

Home Check

Rather than do home checks, we have you take a video of your home and yard.

5.

Take the Pet Home

We REQUIRE frequent updates, photos and videos. We create a WhatsApp group, making it easy to share with our staff in Lake Tahoe and Cancun.

Additional adoption info

We require feedback after the adoption. We always want to know the dog is in the BEST place. If it doesn't work out, we require the dog come back to us.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We meet by appointment only. We bring four dogs at a time and find homes as quickly as we can. We typically meet in Incline Village but sometimes we might meet somewhere else (half way or at the adopters home, for example).

More about this rescue

LOS PERROS PERDIDOS Foundation partners with our sister rescue in Mexico, PAWS IN ACTION CANCUN.

We are determined to save as many broken, abused, abandoned and neglected street and shelter dogs in Mexico as we can.

Motivated by a deep love of our 4-legged friends, our mandate is to save and improve as many lives as possible.

We have seen many tragedies and have witnessed the most horrible cruelties, but we know that by working together we can make a significant difference.

Raising awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering our furry friends and through the love and support of our wonderful volunteers, supporters and adopters, our hope is to rescue, heal and successfully rehome as many of these deserving souls as possible.

With your help, we can do this!
