Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sandy is a young (and very cute!) chihuahua/dachshund mix who was surrendered to the shelter with her brother Smokey. Sandy is the more wary of the two, letting her brother make the first moves. But she loves to run around with him and when he gives the “ok” signal about the humans, Sandy may tentatively approach as well. It just takes her a little longer. She’s only a youngster right now, and needs time to trust. Once she does, she is very affectionate, and will allow you to pick her up and carry her around. She’ll also seek out treats on your lap, but only after she knows you. Before that, she’s a little suspicious! Sandy will likely do well with a dog sibling to help show her the ropes. She appears comfortable with other dogs and would love a stable home environment so she can finish growing up.
