My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ladybird is a South African Mastif known as a Boerboel. We adopted Ladybird from the animal shelter almost 2 years ago. She wasn't treated right from her previous owners so she is scared of a couple things. She does not like kennels and she is afraid of water. Her fear of water has decreased significantly since we never hurt her with water and she is around when we water the grass. We attempted a kennel once, and never did it again.

She is a great dog that is very kind. She loves other dogs and humans. She is very patient with hyper dogs and will take a puppy nipping at her. If she if has had enough of other dogs she'll growl but never attack.

Things she needs that we can't offer. She need a bigger yard. We have a very small backyard that doesn't allow her room to trot around. We also have small children and another one on the way. So we do not provide her with the attention she deserves. Eventhough she is very kind to kids, she forgets her size and knocks them down.
