My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’ve been looking for a lap cat then Grace is the cat for you! Grace is an incredibly sweet, 1 year old tabby girl who is looking for her furever home with humans who love to cuddle. Although you wouldn’t know it based on her incredibly loving nature, Grace had a rough start to life. Grace was born into a feral cat colony in the west side of Chicago and she survived her kittenhood scrapping by on the cold winter streets. When a TNR group trapped Grace to spay and release her, they realized what a loving nature she has and she was moved into foster care.

True to her name, Grace is very graceful. This gentle baby loves to sit on anyone's lap especially if they’re feeding her treats! Grace is a true social butterfly who craves human companionship and affection, especially in the form of pets and scratches. She loves to be picked up and carried around like the baby she is. Because she is so social Grace would do best in a home with humans who have a lot of time and love to give! During her time in foster care, Grace has interacted with other cats but has shown hesitation towards them. At the moment, Grace would prefer to be the only cat in the household but with a little patience she may warm up to other feline friends in the future. The perfect office cat, Grace thrives in a calm and quiet environment. While she may be open to older children who respect her boundaries, Grace would definitely prefer a household where she is the sole focus of attention.

One of Grace’s favorite activities is snooping on the neighborhood from her perch in the window; she is quite the nosy nelly! She also enjoys listening to podcasts with her foster mom while lounging on her favorite chair. When she’s not relaxing Grace adores playtime and her favorite toys are string toys, she’ll chase them all over! She has also recently discovered the wonders of catnip and she can't get enough of it.

Grace is very communicative kitty. She has no problem making her desires clear to her humans and her foster mom thinks that if Grace had a super power it would be mind control! Her adorable gaze will transfix you and convince you to shower her with treats and pets. Grace’s huge eyes are almost too big for her sweet little face and she certainly knows how to use them! She has a way of staring straight into your soul, leaving you captivated by her charm. But don’t worry, Grace only uses her mind control powers for good!

If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will steal your heart with her enchanting gaze and playful nature Grace is the purrfect match for you. If you would like to meet Grace, please apply at the link below. She’s ready to fill your life with love and affection!

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
