My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Theo is a 8 month old puppy that is Jack Russel and Heeler mix. He will be neutered shortly by our veterinarian for the rescue so adoption fee includes that, microchip and all core vaccine boosters needed. He has a sad history unfortunately. He was at an Amish auction and they had three pups there to auction. The Amish kids were beating him and stabbing him and a young girl grabbed the dog and took it to her grandmother's. After he healed for a while she contacted us to see if we could take him into our rescue! He is so sweet and loving! No health problems we see! A little timid but a really great dog! He loves cats! But If you are interested in meeting or adopting Theo please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief application form. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of volunteers that rescue pets with medical needs from a kill shelter. We treat them at our associated Vet clinic and make sure they are spayed or neutered and vaccinated. Pets are then put up for adoption and we try and match them with the right owners. We give special priority to veterans and we begin service dog training while pets are with us. Pets are fostered in our homes or at the Veterinary Clinic until homes are found.
