Bantha has the absolute cutest face and a shiny beautiful coat, and she is so friendly. This 68 pound angel is mellow and gentle on her walks. She loves to take leisurely strolls and take in lots of sniffs, and will hop up on the agility ramps like a pro. She likes to snuggle and to hop on the bench next to you, and might even give you a kiss. Bantha is a master of "sit," and might even do it before you ask. She loves treats! Bantha is super playful in the yard, and takes off so happily zooming around as fast as she can with the biggest smile on her face! She hops in the pool and has so much fun. This wonderful girl is also housebroken.
Bantha is currently in a foster home where her foster family describes her as the biggest lovebug! She loves to be near her people and snuggle in cozy blankets and pillows. When outside, Bantha loves to to frolic in the grass. She is working on crate training and is doing very well! She's a quick learner! Bantha also loves to sunbathe and gets excited by puddles. She is extremely affectionate, constantly looking for pets and cuddles. She is beginning to become interested in tug of war and chew toys. She is a good leash walker and is eager to please her handler.
Bantha has met other dog pals at BARCS, she takes some time to warm up but then becomes playful with her friends. She requests to meet any doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.

Step 1: Check out the adoptable cats, dogs and small companion animals listed on our website. Animals with a blue “I’m in Foster” banner are not currently in our shelter. Check www.barcs.org for our adoption process for animals in foster homes.
Step 2: Visit our shelter during adoption hours (Monday-Friday 2-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 11 a.m.-4 p.m.). When you arrive, you will first be asked to fill out our Shelter Adoption Application with your information. You may also pre-fill our Shelter Adoption Application ahead of time online to save time when you are at the shelter. Your application will be processed after you meet the animal.
Step 3: Tour our adoption rooms and write down the names of animals that you would like to meet. A volunteer or staff member will help you meet your chosen animals to make a match!
Step 4: When you have selected the right animal for you, our Adoptions Team will run your Adoption Application for approval. Once your application is approved, you will participate in an adoption class where you will learn all of the details about your new adopted family member, including their known history and medical records.
What else to expect: Animals who are already spayed/neutered and past their stray hold (if applicable) can often go home with you the same day. Pick-up arrangements for unaltered animals and/or animals still on a stray hold will be made during your adoption class.
