Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Calling all small dog lovers! ❤️
Meet Thea, a one-year-old spunky girl who is a perfectly portable package (all of 12 pounds!). Don't let her size fool you, this pup has a personality as big as her heart. She was found alone in Puerto Rico in extremely rough shape. She had absolutely no hair due to mange. Her coat has grown in a lot since January but she does still have some alopecia that could be permanent.
Thea is:
* Playful: Get ready for endless zoomies and playful wrestling with fur siblings
* Sweet: This cuddle champion loves belly rubs and snuggles on the couch.
* Social butterfly: She loves making new friends, both big and small dogs alike!
Thea would likely need a friend in her future home to show her everything’s ok! She is a little nervous of her foster humans (but she's only been with us for less than a day so is likely still settling in!) she seems confident in the house playing with our other foster dog Breena. She may be ok if she’s the only dog but with someone who’s def patient!
Are you looking for the perfect small companion? Look no further! Thea is ready to fill your life with love, laughter, and endless entertainment.
Here is Thea's rescue story and photos - they are pretty sad photos to see her in such rough shape but we wanted to show everyone to see how much progress she has made since then!

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
If interested in one of our fur babies, the first step is to fill out the application. After processing your references we will conduct a home visit. Once approved we can arrange a meet & greet with who you’re interested in.
If the animal you are interested in is too young to have all of their vaccines or to be spayed / neutered, potential adopters would foster with the intent to adopt until the animal is able to have all of this vetting completed. On this day the adoption is finalized.
