My name is Archie!

Archie needs an experienced adopter with a job to do on a daily basis due to his breed (Catahoula Leopard) such as an animal or wood farm. We’ve taken him to training courses and he completed them but he seems to unlearn everything. His behavior is unpredictable and it’s because he’s a working dog and we don’t have a farm nor do we hunt (we have a backyard and he’s taken on hikes on the weekend and up to 5 walks per day but that’s not enough for him). Some examples of his behavioral issues are removing his harness when told to drop a chicken bone he found and not coming when called then running in circles herding sticks and then eating his own bag of poop. He loves making friends with dogs but he can be scared of people and sometimes chases cats Sometimes he’s reactive but mostly not so he will need to be trained in that area, too. He needs a lot of time, attention, and patience. We will NOT consider people who do not have a backyard (minimum) or a job for him to do, daily.
