My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sammy! This beautiful 11 year old soul has not given up on humans, even though his humans gave up on him! We received a call a few months ago from a property owner who's tenant moved out overnight and left Sammy tied up in the back yard, skinny, covered in fleas with no food or water.

We took Sammy directly to our vet who didn't think he was going to make it because he was critically anemic! Fast forward 4 months and with medical care, LOTS of love and a healthy diet, Sammy looks and feels like a different dog!

Sammy is just sweet as can be, loves to cuddle, go on short walks and hang out in his comfy bed at his foster home. He's so happy to know that he will never have to worry about his next meal and be left out in the heat, cold and rain.... and is so excited to get yummy treats and hugs!

Sammy doesn't ask for much. Sammy's ideal retirement home will have a fenced yard, even if small, someone who is home a lot to keep him company, love and enjoy time with him.

If you are in the Tampa Bay area and would like to hear more about this wonderful boy, please be sure to include your phone number when you inquire.
