My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On April 29th, we had the joy of welcoming Vinnie, Velma, and Victor into our fold. From the start, these siblings have shown themselves to be exceptionally loving and sweet, bringing a gentle calmness that's a delight to witness. Despite their serene nature, it's important to remember that they are still puppies at heart, brimming with energy and a need for space to unleash their playful zoomies. Their undeniable cuteness and affable disposition towards people make them irresistible companions. Given their size as puppies, it's anticipated that they will grow into larger dogs, promising to be loyal and loving family members who will fill their forever homes with joy and affection.

More about this shelter

Concern over a large, and ever increasing, population of homeless dogs and cats, instigated the opening of the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the shelter by providing volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
