My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Bonnie, and I am a pretty little 6-month-old Pittie-Pug Mix, weighing 27 lbs but not growing much lately and will probably stay on the small side around 30 lbs. I was found inside a plastic crate one morning during a freeze in San Antonio Texas. My foster mom heard me crying, went out front to investigate, and there I was. What started as almost a death sentence, turned into good fortune because the lady who found me happens to foster for 4 Little Paws Rescue, and I recently moved to Connecticut to find my new family.

I am a happy and friendly girl, with no shyness here, I make friends instantly with everyone, humans, dogs, and even a kitty cat who lives with me. I love to play and I have to admit I’m a tough girl, a tomboy, and can easily hold my own with the bigger puppies at my foster home. In typical puppy fashion, I enjoy running zoomies and playing with doggy toys. I’m affectionate and snuggly, and I am very treat motivated. I’m a good eater, I only bark to alert, and I am very good on a leash or a ride in the car. Now for the really good part! I have the privilege of being trained by an awesome high-profile trainer here in Connecticut (lucky me!) because he thought I was really pretty and smart and I did not disappoint! I am an excellent student! Within days I learned how to sit, stay, lay down, leave it, and many many wonderful commands. My trainer is taking me on long leash walks, busy places where I encounter people, cars, dogs, kids, and all kinds of stuff that puppies often react to. But not me. I am so smart! Now ask yourself how often you see a rescue puppy that is already trained by the best trainer in the area?? I think not often. I am a rare find and a gem and did I mention I am really pretty??? And friendly?? And adorable?? And love to play with other dogs?? So, basically, I am pure perfection in the flesh. Don’t wait, come and meet me, and let’s have a wonderful and adventurous life together!
