My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bud is a long haired, young golden boy about a year old. He came from a very filthy hoarding situation where he mostly avoided people. He was very shy at first, but now in a normal loving home, he is outgoing and having a great time. He has bloomed.

Bud does great with other cats and nice dogs, and with his people, he will be his human's beloved, devoted boy. Kindness and understanding work their magic.

Bud is super affectionate, playful, and full of joy. He loves having a clean home and loving people. Like any normal cat, he might take a minute to adjust, but then he's all in for being you best cuddle boy ever! He does love other friendly cats and will need a friend in his new home. He will also need a safe place to go outside with his family after he is bonded with home and family. In Wasilla. Call 907 980-8898

TERRIE IRWIN HAS SPONSORED BUD IN HONOR OF BRUTUS AND NEWMAN; BUD MAY BE ADOPTED TO A LOVING FAMILY FOR $40!

Take the Pet Home

You will need a carrier when you are meeting your potential kitty, because you will need something to take it home in. :)

Additional adoption info

We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Due to the pandemic, most of our adoptions are done virtually. Some of our cats are also available for adoption from their foster homes.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2017, we rescued and rehomed approximately 500 cats.
