My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Trixie. She is a beautiful 3-year-old orange and brown tabby cat with soft plush fur who came to the shelter in January as a stray. At the shelter she would hide in the back of her cage and hiss and swat as she was so afraid with all the noise and activity. In March, Trixie was sent into a foster home to see how she would do in a quieter environment. At first, she hid under the bed, but after a few days she came out and started to explore her room and house at her own pace. Trixie prefers to be by her people or where she can see them. Trixie does not like to be confined but does go into her bedroom to nap or watch the birds from the window on her tree tower. She uses her scratching pole but also will scratch at furniture to get your attention. Trixie uses her litterbox and is a very clean kitty. She likes to roll over to get belly rubs but doesn't like to be held. She would probably do best in a quieter household with no young children. She would do best if there were people around most of the day as she does get lonely. Trixie seems afraid of other cats but might do well with a feline friend for company with a slow and proper introduction. Do you have room and time for a very special kitty?
