My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, world! My name is Anna. I would like to tell you the story of how I came into Michele's Rescue. During last March, a kind lady found me straying by her house and took me inside to try and find out where I came from. Little did she know that I was about to give birth to 5 kittens a few days later! Fate wasn't with us and the lady was not able to keep me for her own. So on April 8th, when my babies were just a few weeks old, a foster volunteer from Michele's Rescue came and took me and my babies to a new home, where we have been living ever since.

Today, my kittens are 6 weeks old and they are growing up as healthy and as happy as anyone would want. I will stay with them for a little while longer and then we will all be ready for our forever homes! My foster mommy can tell you that I am such a wonderful mom, who is patient and gentle and loving with her babies. I also enjoy a bit of play time with my foster mom.

Since coming here, I also have had a nourishing diet, and to repay my foster mom, I like to sit on her lap while watching the babies play and grow.  Foster mom says she's very proud that I am good at using my litterbox and have taught my kittens how to do the same. It's my hope to find a home where I can be with nice, quiet people who will enjoy my company and share their laps with me.

Foster Note: Anna has not mingled with my personal cats as of yet because she has preferred to be very protective of her family and does not want to be separated yet.  We are working on giving her a little more time to gradually meet them.

More about this rescue

Michele's Rescue is a 501c3 non profit rescue as of Sept. 2009! I have been doing rescue as early as 1997 and have found my place in life with animals and animal rescue. Michele's Rescue is currently adopting kittens, cats, puppies, dogs and some small animals in need of placement of permanent homes. I help other rescues with overflow and fostering as well as transporting of animals from shelters to breed specific rescues. Michele's Rescue has several volunteers who help with adoptions at Petsmart due to the overpopulation in West Michigan. I am also proud to say that I am the founder of the West Michigan Spay and Neuter Clinic in Fruitport, Michigan!
