ONLY AVAILABLE TO SLO, SANTA BARBARA, VENTURA, and NORTHERN LA COUNTY ADOPTERS:
Sweet Mamie is a petite beauty. We think she is a purebred cattle dog but might be a Texas heeler (cattle dog/Australian Shepherd). She looks to be 2-3 years old.
Mamie was terrified of the world when she came to us, but she has had a magical transformation and now loves it! She likes going on walks (and walks beautifully on leash), is happy to meet people, and loves other dogs. She's very easy to have around, as she is housebroken and even taught herself how to use a dog door. She likes kids too. She met cats once and was pretty interested, but is low prey drive so she could probably be taught to respect them.
Mamie is not a high energy dog, so she'd be perfect for a family that just wants to do neighborhood walks, although she can handle more if you want to do it!

Additional adoption info
Our dogs often go into foster to adopt, to give potential adopters a chance to see if it is a good match.
