Hello, I am Athena! I am a lucky girl to be a part of such a great rescue. My past has not been so easy, but despite that I have stumbled upon fortune and am now ready for a loving home. I am 2 years old and close to 42 lbs. I love my foster home, I love all the dogs and the cats have never bothered me so far. I love to ride, but it is a new experience for me. I do not mind getting a bath, and I love to cuddle with my foster Mom. She has even taught me a few commands.
Hello, I am Athena's Foster Mom. Athena came from a miserable hoarding situation where some dogs did not make it once rescued. She has above and beyond surpassed my expectations for her. She is 100% Amazing. She loves my pack of 5 with mixed genders, my cats have not impressed her. She travels well but does lean up against the back seat when riding. Her recall is good. Potty training is 100% when taken out on time, or she can use a pee-pad. She learned the sit command in one day. She is easygoing and pleasant. She had her HW treatment (fast kill) on 3/1/24 and 3/2/24 and tolerated the treatments well. She never even acted like the injections affected her at all. She is spayed and up to date on all treatments and vaccines. She loves to be loved on and loves to give love as well. She is a GEM and all-around well-rounded. I feel that she could learn agility she could be your best friend hiking buddy, or just simply be a couch potato after some playtime. She does not mind a bath, or even the hair dryer at the pet store bathing area. Please text me with any questions at 865-659-9894 or email me at sabrinahuffstetler@gmail.com.

More about this rescue
We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.
The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
