My name is Maurice!

It is with sadness that I need to find a good home for Maurice. He is a Chihuahua mix and a very sweet, loving, smart and loyal little guy. He was 2 years old when we rescued him, and now he is about 12.

Our other small dog, is very old and may be passing soon, and I am away for a week every month. Maurice misses me and becomes anxious. We also have an older mellow cat; Maurice and the cat tolerate each other.

Maurice needs people and companionship. He is fine with other dogs of any size who are tolerant. He does have a bit of a Napoleon complex and is an attention hog. He is not a super active dog, is playful, is in good health, understands some commands, is trainable, walks along side me without a leash, comes when I call, is house trained, and can use a cat door. He does not have a special diet and he is up to date on his shots and well-check. Maurice would be perfect for an elderly person or a family with school-aged children who like to snuggle and cuddle.
