My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thank you for your interest in Pixie. Used at a breeding farm, Pixie lived in a barn. It was nice on the outside but we don't know what it was like on the inside. What we guess is that she lived in a stall or kennel. She likely had some puppies and then one day, because puppies aren't selling as quickly as they used to, the breeder decided to surrender her to our rescue. What a happy day! Well, for Pixie is was sort of happy and sort of scary. Pixie didn't know what life was like in a warm home with nice people, great food and toys.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Each adoptive family will complete an application, come out to meet the available dog(s) and then email us after the meeting to let us know their intentions to pursue the adoption. We will do a home visit, check their references and then decide on the best home for each dog. Once a home is chosen, the family will sign our adoption contract and pay the $450 adoption fee prior to taking their new family member home with them!

More about this rescue

SPIN strives to educate and raise public awareness about how to be responsible for and share your life with a companion animal. We talk about the importance of spay/neuter programs, the deplorable conditions found in puppy mills and advocate for change. We are most proud, however, of our work in engaging like-minded people together by providing a forum to discuss how to care for and celebrate the poodle breed, but also to come together when necessary to help poodles in need.
