Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I wasn't the first and I won't be the last amazing & wonderful dog to be at a Texas kill shelter sitting on death row, waiting for euthanasia for no good reason other than nobody wanted me. Why not?... is a very good question. Possibly because San Antonio is overrun with abandoned dogs and homeless strays, and the bigger we are the harder it is to find a family. This was my predicament when out of the blue, a lady walked in and saved my life. She fosters for 4 Little Paws Rescue and although my paws are not little, they took me in, and I couldn't be more grateful to everyone... and not to brag, but there is a lucky family out there who will feel the exact same way when they meet me.
My name is Midnight and I am a 2-year-old male Chocolate Labrador Retriever/German Shorthaired Pointer mix, 40 lbs, heart of gold, medium energy, shy at first, but still make friends with everyone within a day or two. I get along great with other dogs and always get excited about meeting new doggie friends to play with. I love chew toys and lick mats and can easily entertain myself while spending time in a crate. I’m calm and affectionate, love pets and belly rubs, and hanging out with my people. I’m a good boy who listens well and quickly takes direction when I forget my manners and jump up to greet you. I am already housebroken, I rarely bark, I do not dig in the yard, or chew on your things. I love walks and rides in the car which works out great since I’ll be moving to Connecticut to find you. I started out this story with exactly one day left to live, and now I’m living life, happy and grateful and dreaming of being someone's forever dog, proudly sporting a handsome collar with my name and your phone number stamped on it. Hint-hint.
