My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke, a 6-year-old Sheppit, seeks a new forever home. Born in Medina, Ohio, this gentle giant weighs 140 pounds and has enjoyed his time over the many years socializing weekly at the Mutt Hutt daycare in Cleveland, Ohio. Duke is often mistaken for a Weimaraner for his majestic and regal appearance with a friendly temperament.

He has hiked over 1000 miles through various Metro Parks over the years and has the energy and spirit from when he was just a puppy. Duke enjoys playing tug-of-war with rope and fetching balls. His most favorite activity is to go for walks and especially loves hikes out in the woods and swimming in Lake Erie.

His owner is faced with an abrupt change in living situation and is facing immediate life changes and must find Duke a loving home ideally with a backyard for Duke to enjoy the outdoors. He needs an owner who can be present to ensure quality of life.

Please help continue Duke’s story in a home filled with love and care.
