My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rhonda is an Australian Shepherd mix that is approximately 1 years old! This sweet girl was adopted and returned due to not doing too well with smaller animals! So a home without small animals would be best! Rhonda does do well with other dogs, but we do recommend slow introductions! Rhonda loves all the attention she can get and she LOVES to play! 🥰

Rhonda is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines and preventatives! Apply to adopt Rhonda today www.pawspets.org/dog-application!

More about this shelter

The Paris Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) is a private 501(c)3 organization, established in 1992, which runs an animal shelter located in beautiful Paris, Kentucky. As a private organization, we are solely dependent on private donations and community support.

Our mission is to save and protect homeless animals through responsible adoptions, to provide humane care for all animals entrusted to us, to advocate for animal welfare, and to enhance the human-animal bond by promoting healthy relationships between pets and people in our community.

P.A.W.S. serves mainly Bourbon County, taking in stray animals and those relinquished by their owners. We are managed admission, which means we take in by appointment. Despite being a small organization, we took in almost 1700 animals in 2015. At P.A.W.S., we do not euthanize healthy adoptable animals.
