Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tramp, an adorable 9 lb., 10-year-old Cairn Terrier mix. He came to Connecticut all the way from California after ending up in a high-kill shelter. He was extremely shut down and fearful, begging for someone to save him. With California being the highest kill state in the country, we knew we had to rescue him and get this senior out of the kennel and into a loving foster home.
Despite his age, Tramp has got a lot of spunk! He loves being outside, going on leisurely walks, and basking in the sunshine. He is very sweet, well-socialized, and is currently in a foster home with five other dogs. While he likes the pups, he’s also content hanging out and playing on his own. Tramp is a happy-go-lucky little dog whose favorite thing is being with his people. He enjoys gentle play time or a nap on the couch. Tramp comes when called and will even wag his tail as he prances towards his person. He is also house and crate trained. Tramp is looking for his lady, or guy, who's willing to love him through his golden years.
His adoption fee is $400 and Tramp is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. He also qualifies for our Senior-to-Senior program so if you're 60 years or older, you can adopt Tramp for $300.
