Meet Jack, a sweet black kitty who was found with her two siblings living at a mechanic's shop. Jack was the smallest of her 3 siblings, and was just 5 weeks old when her mother was discovered passed away after being hit by a car. Jack was the last to be trapped a few days later, and was immediately up for enjoying the company of humans especially with some Churu treats. Jack loves chasing around her mice toys and teasing her brothers by swatting at their tails when she is not busy wrestling them or hanging out with her foster dog brother. Jack is a cuddle bug who loves to hang out on the warm lap of her human. She will show you her appreciation of the warmth with her little purr engine. She is curious to explore and friendly with both her siblings and new kitties, though she will do her best to show that she is fierce. Her favorite toys are wand toys and little mice that she can chase around the house. She loves his wet food and is a sucker for Churu paste treats. Jack is bonded to her sibling Moe (KRLA-A-5726) and both should be adopted together in their forever home.

We ONLY adopt animals to homes in the greater Los Angeles area.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
