Mammy is a big love and a big personality! She adores attention and affection brushing grooming and all the pets. She prefers a cushy lifestyle with big beds weighted blankets spa days long weekends and bottomless mimosas. With a loud creaky meow she'll announce herself and demand your attention. She is very cuddly and will sit on your lap or curl up in the crook of your arm.

She is a fabulously funny cat and incredibly social. Mammy would love an equally engaged and fun hooman! She has a spark of playfulness about her and really gets into her hunt-mode. Her love for playtime ensures she gets a much needed daily workout.

Mammy needs an adopter who is going to keep her on a healthy raw food diet and ensure she gets her daily play-exercise. She would prefer to be a solo cat and would not be good for a home with children or dogs.

We ONLY adopt animals to homes in the greater Los Angeles area.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
