T-Rex is a distinguished Snowshoe gentleman with mesmerizing blue eyes and a heart as big as his purrs that you'll definitely want to meet. A senior guy, T-Rex is a seasoned snuggle pro who appreciates the finer things in life: warm laps, gentle cuddles, and the company of other feline friends. He does need an experienced cat owner since he does have kidney disease that requires regular fluids and medication.

Despite his past, including being found after 3 weeks away from his previous home covered in tar, T-Rex remains an incredibly resilient and affectionate soul. His little snaggle tooth adds character to his friendly demeanor, and his patience knows no bounds, making him an ideal companion for both humans and cats alike. T-Rex may be set in his ways, but that includes a capacity for love and companionship that knows no limits. He has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans. We ONLY adopt animals to homes in the greater Los Angeles area.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
