My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miss Millie! This lovable girl, born in February 2021, is easy like a Sunday morning – she’s mellow, mild-mannered, and sweet as pie.  She found herself surrendered to a local shelter through no fault of her own, as the owners claimed one of the family’s children was allergic to her. Despite being heartworm positive, she is happily searching for her real forever family. With treatment and some TLC, this girl is slowly starting to show us her loving, energetic personality. Millie has proven to be a wonderful house guest, even while her people are away at work during the day. She is very well behaved and saves her rumpus time for the outdoors. She spends most of her day napping and waiting by the door to make sure she doesn’t miss out on her next walk. She warmed up quickly to the resident dog and hasn’t met a four-legged friend she doesn’t like! She would do best with another moderate energy dog that loves to play and wrestle.  Millie walks well on a leash, and aside from being invested in the local squirrel population, she stays close and is always happy to get up and go. And did we mention she loves people too? She will gladly greet strangers with a little wiggle and tail wag, and is equally patient and gentle with children. She is kid tested and mother approved! Unlike most Pyrenees, Millie is a water loving dog! Her local dog park has a pond that she enjoys romping around in. She seems happiest when she gets to splash and swim in the water, giving us her best sad face when it’s time to leave. Whoever adopts this playful, sweet, and stunningly beautiful girl is going to gain the companion of a lifetime!
