My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Sasha arrived:
Sasha was brought in by their previous owner.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Introducing Sasha, an adorable puppy with boundless energy and a heart full of love! Sasha's exuberance for life is infectious, and she thrives on engaging in enriching activities that stimulate her curious mind. However, it's important to note that Sasha does have a tendency to resource guard, which means she'll flourish best as the sole furry companion in her new home. With the right positive reinforcement training, Sasha is poised to become the epitome of a well-behaved and loving pup. Given her energetic nature, Sasha would thrive in a home with an active family who can match her enthusiasm for outdoor adventures and playtime. Patience and understanding are key virtues for Sasha's future family, as they embark on the journey of nurturing her into the best version of herself. With consistent guidance and a loving environment, Sasha is sure to repay her family's devotion with unwavering loyalty and endless cuddles. If you're ready to welcome a furry bundle of joy into your home and heart, Sasha is eagerly waiting to meet you!

At SDHS:
Sasha has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Sasha is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
