Hi there! My name is Dixon and I am an 18-month-old, 65 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone at my foster home and do well.
I have done well with men, women, and older children. I love affection and spending time with my humans, though I am also not pushy about it and am happy to relax if you have work to do! I am usually a tail-wagging excited boy when we have visitors, though I can occasionally be fearful when first meeting men (especially if on leash) before warming up.
I have done well with other dogs after slow, proper introductions and time to get to know each other. I can be confident and pushy about initiating play at times so some dogs may not appreciate enthusiasm, though I’d love an active playmate. I love toys such as tug ropes! I haven’t quite figured out this “fetch” game though. I cannot go to a home with cats.
I am intelligent and having been working hard to learn about being the best adventure partner! I like tagging along for car rides and am improving on my leash skills; I currently wear and EasyWalk harness to help on walks! I have learned sit, off, and am working on stay and come. I would thrive with a family willing to continue my training and providing that mental stimulation! I am an active boy who could be a great hiking or running partner. I am ready to search for my perfective adoptive family—could that be with you?

All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
