My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact Janice (janice.frazier@sbcglobal.net) for more information about this pet.

Gizmo is the absolutely gorgeous black kitty. He is the smallest of the litter. He has white hair sprinkled on his front legs and a white undercoat. Which tells me he's probably going to turn out to be silver, quite the unique kitty. Gizmo potentially has hydrocephalus. He runs and plays as if he is just like everybody else because he doesn't know anything different; but sometimes he does fall over a little bit and we can't guarantee how he'll do as he grows. But he clearly made it through surgery as any normal kitten would and that's a good sign.

Family description
Georgia, Gloria - are Russian Blue types; Gemma and Gizmo are the black-ish ones, with Gizmo having some white and a white undercoat so he’s likely to go silver! He also seems to have Hydrocephalus, but is still able to keep up with his sisters just fine. So these guys are very active, and will need to be adopted in pairs.
They will not be adopted singly as all of them are crazy happy, busy kittens, and need lots of attention; having a friend also helps provide that and they all sleep together in a pile when it’s time to nap! They're very sweet, they love people and they run to greet you, but they are also very curious: they want to see and investigate everything. You must have a screen door on all your doors, to help ensure that they do not get out. And we are looking for only the best of homes. They're extremely friendly and sweet.
Please only apply if you are wanting a pair and you can mention which two in the section about how many cats you have right now, in the early part of the application.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat

More about this rescue

13th Street Cats is an all volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral and social cats and reducing the population by TNR – Trap, Neuter, Return in Santa Clara County. Kittens and cats that can be socialized are taken into foster care while waiting adoption. With a no kill philosophy, 13th St Cats is pleased to be able to rescue these homeless animals who might otherwise end up in a local kill shelter, helping to reduce euthanasia rates.
