I am a spayed female, black and white Pit Bull Terrier.

Age: I am estimated to be about 3 years old.

Weight: I weigh approximately 62 pounds.

More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 08, 2023.

Bonnie is a total sweetheart! She will sit as close as possible to be scratched as long as possible. She is very fond of tasty treats and seems eager to learn! When meeting with another dog her size, she was a little pushy at first but was very excited to play. We would recommend giving her a longer introduction to another dog. We recommend she be placed into a home with children 12 years and older. Bonnie's adoption fee is sponsored which means her adoption fee is free!

Bonnie went on a little outing with one of our volunteers! She did so well & had so much fun seeing new things!

Bonnie loves to explore, sniff new things, and meet new friends! She is such a sweet girl that is looking for someone to go on adventures with her. You can meet this cutie during our adoption hours 12pm to 4:30pm Tuesday through Saturday.

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
