Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Sweeter Mae, the Chihuahua mix! While she may be a bit shy at first, this charming girl is longing for a patient and experienced dog owner who can help her blossom. Sweeter Mae adores children over the age of 12 and gets along famously with other dogs, making her the perfect addition to a loving family. One thing to keep in mind is Sweeter Mae's sensitivity to red dye in dog food, which can cause her skin to become dry and itchy. However, her love for bananas knows no bounds—these tasty treats never fail to bring joy to her day! Rest assured, Sweeter Mae is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations, making her ready to find her forever home. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will fill your days with love and laughter, Sweeter Mae is eagerly awaiting your visit at the shelter. Could you be the one to make her dreams come true?

Additional adoption info
We require an in-person application for all dogs and cats. A home visit will be required for larger dogs, who require a fenced in yard. Our animals are only adopted out after they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption fees are $80 for cats and $110+ for dogs. Puppies are $130. Cash, check, credit or debit card are all accepted. Sometimes the fee will be higher for a dog, if it is a purebred. We would like to keep our adoptions local; in the event the adoption does not work out, the animal must come back to us. Adopters must sign an agreement to this effect. We do consider out of state adopters, please phone us before coming. We are a private shelter run mostly by volunteers. Please be patient if we take a little time to respond. Volunteers check emails and respond to phone calls.
Those adopting a cat must bring a carrier to transport the cat home safely.
