My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Captain Hook is a 10 year old Chihuahua mix coming in at about 13 lbs.

Despite his villainous name, Hook is a sweet, spunky guy who is eager to make friends with everyone. He's very easygoing and has adapted to shelter life suprisingly well! Each morning during his walk he has to make sure to say hello to every staff and volunteer he may see, and will do a bouncy little dance for you if you pass by him in the kennels. Toys are one of his passions in life and you'll see a whole new energetic side of the pup once the squeakies come out. Don't let his age fool you, he can zoom just like the youngins!

Hook is showing some typical signs of aging in a small breed, such as a collapsing trachea and some less than great dental health. While he is getting some dental work done with us, we ask that you keep this in mind if you're interested in adopting him. It'll be something we'd recommend bringing up to your vet to make a game plan going forward in order to keep him in tip-top shape going forward!

Due to not knowing his background with children we'd like to keep him in a home with children over the age of 12. If you're interested in adopting Captain Hook he will come neutered, microchipped, with his Rabies and distemper vaccines, a heartworm test, his flea and tick treatment for the month, as well as his heartworm preventative. He will be meeting multiple families and will be placed with the family we deem to be the best fit, rather than first come first served. Head on over to ForeverPaws.com and fill out an application for him if you're interested, if you already have an approved application feel free to give us a call and set up a date to meet Captain Hook!
