Hello, my name is Chula which means “cute” or “beautiful woman” in Spanish slang, and indeed I am a pretty little lady. I’m a Chihuahua mix, 3 years old, weighs 9.6 lbs, living in San Antonio Texas, and I was surrendered to 4 Little Paws Rescue when my elderly owner became too sick to care for me. I have to admit it was scary moving to new digs but I settled in nicely to my foster home and now I’m ready to find a new forever home.
I am very sweet and loyal and these days I warm up to new people pretty quickly, especially if they are offering me a doggy treat. I get along with other dogs and live with many in my foster home, but I have never played with any of them. I’m just not into other dogs or doggy toys. My focus is people and I will be your little shadow, but without the separation anxiety. I follow my foster mom from room to room, watching her work during the day and snuggling beside her in the evening when we relax for some TV time. My hobbies are sunbathing on a pretty day, lounging around in my doggy beds, going for rides in the car, taking walks to the park wearing my little harness, and shopping at Walmart. Yep, my foster mom puts a blanket in the shopping cart for me to lay on, and off we go. I’m uber quiet and never bark, not even at home or when the doorbell rings. I’m always good and well-behaved. I’m housebroken and know how to use a doggy door and a potty pad. I’m easy, I’m pretty, I’m affectionate, and I’m moving to Connecticut ASAP to find you!
