Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Trailblazer is a happy guy that's ready for adventure! He likes to keep his nose to the ground and go for walks. He seems to like toys, though his attention span may not last long. He's a busy guy looking for a home to match!
My foster says "Trailblazer is a sweet, playful young dog. He walks well on a leash and likes a good toy to chew on. He enjoys naps on the couch and pets. He gets along with other dogs of various ages and is learning to be respectful of boundaries.
He gets nervous in situations he's not familiar with, but we are working on increasing his confidence.
--
Volunteers say "Walked with Trailblazer today. He pulled hard while leaving the kennels, but was easy from there. He seemed uncertain and nervous for first part of walk, but was comforted by petting and initially going slow. He observes people and animals from a good distance and each time wanted to stop and take in what he was seeing. He would lean into me and was comforted by being close. He's built for running and would be a great jogging buddy. Just needs the chance to learn and trust in an affectionate atmosphere."

More about this shelter
Welcome to CMHS! In continuous operation since 1943, the Central Missouri Humane Society promotes the well-being of companion animals – pets that enrich the lives of the people who love them.
The Columbia Humane Society was formed in 1943 to provide shelter and care for Columbia’s abandoned animals. Originating in a little structure on Creasy Springs Road, the organization has grown into today’s Central Missouri Humane Society, a regional animal welfare agency caring for thousands of animals annually and providing veterinary services for low-income pet owners.
