Could meow-velous Maximus have a more gorgeous face, with showstopping racing striped cheeks and a classic tabby forehead “M” like a bold russet crown?! His great good looks definitely command attention, but it’s his fun and adventurous personality that keep him hippity hopping through the many lively games and kitten adventures he and his four spirited siblings cook up! As happy as he is, his happiness does not extend to dogs, and he hasn’t met any children. His soft orange coat is dusted with sugary white and is purrfect for the hugs he always hopes will come his way. This most classic of kitties, the famous orange marmalade tabbyman, is a delight from head to toe and sure to be a deeply loved addition in a great forever home. Could happy handsome Maximus be the beloved boy to light up your world?

Additional adoption info

All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ear mites, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped. You must fill out an adoption application and talk directly with one of our adoption coordinators. An adoption contract must be signed at time of adoption.

Our Petco adoption center is open open daily 10am-5pm and Wednesday 10am-6pm.

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center located on 12 acres along the Kings River in Parlier, California, which is in the central San Joaquin Valley, southeast of Fresno.

At The Cat House, our mission is to:
1) provide a no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats and kittens for the State of California, primarily serving the Central Valley;
2) facilitate the adoption of cats (primarily), dogs and other rescued animals into safe, loving, healthy and permanent homes;
3) educate the public on how to become directly involved in improving the quality of animal welfare;
4) offer low cost spay and neuter referrals.
