Sophia!
As you can tell from her pictures Sophia is all smiles and happiness.
This approx 6 yr old min poodle was surrendered to us from a commercial breeder when they were downsizing and she was no longer needed as a breeder dog.
Sophia seems to be the most outgoing of the 3 sisters surrendered to us (all adoptable separately). She very much enjoyed her groom and bath, although the dryer was her least favorite part. She was relatively difficult to photograph because she preferred to sit in the lap of those trying to take pictures.
Any adopters should be prepared that grooming will be an ongoing need for her curly coat. She will need training with everything from housebreaking to leash walking, although she is already getting the hang of walking on a leash. She is keen to learn and once she builds trust she will be your best fried. Sophia is good with other dogs, having lived with many, and often hangs out with her golden girl friends in our adoption center. She is comfortable in a crate and it would be a great transition to a new environment.
Sophia's adoption fee includes all of her vet care, including vaccinations to date, spay and microchipping.
She will also have bloodwork done, is heartworm and tick borne disease tested and up to date on preventatives.
The online adoption application for Sophia is available at https://www.dogtownrescue.org/online-adoption-application
An approved application and appointment are required to meet any of our dogs.
