My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Aspen, a stunning 3.5-month-old husky weighing about 18 pounds. Aspen is a delightful young pup full of curiosity and charm. She adores being around people and will happily follow you wherever you go, eager to be a part of the action. Aspen is a snuggler and loves nothing more than cuddling up close for some quality bonding time. Her sweet nature and fast learning ability make her a joy to be around.

Aspen is already showing great progress with her training. She knows how to sit and is eager to learn more. She has been doing exceptionally well with crate training, making her transition into her new home much smoother. Aspen is also showing promising signs of being potty trained, as she indicates when she needs to go outside by sniffing around.

Aspen would thrive in a loving home where she can receive plenty of attention and guidance as she continues to learn and grow. A family that enjoys spending time outdoors and can provide her with regular exercise and mental stimulation would be ideal. Aspen would also benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help her become the best companion she can be.

If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and fast-learning puppy to join your family, Aspen could be the perfect match for you!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.May 14, 2024, 9:20 pm

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
