Note from Anise's foster family:
Anise came to our home with her brother Ramen. They are both Devon Rex breed and were surrendered to Toronto Cat Rescue.
When Anise first came to us, she was besides herself, very upset. She detests going to the vet, and she had just spent a few days in a cage at the shelter.
We honestly thought that she was going to be hard to rehabilitate, and we were very worried about her.
However, turned out that was not the case at all. The very next day she forgot everything and became sweet and affectionate. Through the past 5 weeks that we’ve had her in our house, she has been nothing but sweet, gentle and playful.
She even spends time in our laps sleeping while we watch movies. She asks to be picked up and petted, purring happily. When we wake up in the morning, she’s right at our feet following us everywhere. She’s very soft and petite and delicate, with big blue eyes. She’s athletic and curious and can leap up in the air quite high to explore. Anise loves springs, playing soccer with them across the floor and pouncing on them.
Anise is very pliable and friendly, but she has strong boundaries. If she needs to go to the doctor, she will need to be sedated to avoid suffering for both her and the vet. Cutting her nails is an adventure, as she just doesn’t like it. However, she has never shown any aggression towards her humans or Ramen at all.
Anise is bonded with her sibling Ramen. Even though Anise is fairly independent, Ramen is very attached to her. Ramen often grooms Anise, but she doesn’t really return the favour.
These two cuties will bring a lot of joy to the lucky family who will adopt them.
Thank you for giving two best friends a loving home together! Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair is $150 per cat, versus our standard fee of $200 per adult cat.
