Dogs? I have been very neutral meeting other dogs here at the shelter and might prefer a chill canine companion. Please bring any dogs in the home to meet to see if we hit it off!
Cats? Unknown. With supervised introductions, I may be able to live with a cat.
Kids? I've been a friendly guy here and would like to live with kiddos who will be gentle with me.
Anything else you'd like us to know, Rex? I'm a very sweet, happy-go-lucky little buddy looking to go on neighborhood walkies and then hang out and snuggle on the couch.
I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption.

Shelter Hours are 11 AM - 6 PM every day of the week.

Directions from east or west: From the east, take the Beltline or surface streets to Barger Rd, or West 11th, and head west to Greenhill Rd. Turn left on Greenhill Rd (from Barger) or right from West 11th; we're approximately a mile down the road. From the west, take Hwy. 126 to Greenhill Rd., turn left at Greenhill Rd.

Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.
Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.
Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
