My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Marvin was brought in by a Good Samaritan on April 14, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Are you ready to add a whole lot of wag and wiggle to your life? Meet Marvin, the boy with a face that'll make even the grumpiest of souls crack a smile! His adorable mug is practically a heart-melting machine, and his charm is off the charts. Seriously, if joy had a fur coat, Marvin would be wearing it! Marvin's? Oh, they're a masterpiece of canine comedy! They have a mind of their own, flopping and twisting in the most hilarious ways. They're like the built-in entertainment system you never knew you needed! And hey, his skin infection? No worries there! Our medical team has been on it like a dog on a bone, and Marvin's on the road to recovery faster than you can say "fetch"! So grab your leash, buckle up that collar, and get ready to welcome Marvin into your home today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
