Matt is a beautiful short haired black male cat. He came from a dire situation in a local community. After living inside all his life, his owner forced all the cats he had outside in the middle of winter. The owner took no steps to prevent over population of cats he had. He could not provide food or flea prevention medication and he grew tired of the responsibly of taking care of the cats. So, Matt and all his colony of cats had to run to neighborhood houses to look for food and shelter in the freezing winter weather. Matt was neutered, had his shots and is been fostered till he can find his forever home. Matt is very smart and did not like the confines of a crate so at the first opportunity he found his way out while his crate was being cleaned. He hid for a little while but did come around after he realized he was not going to be put back in the crate.Matt gets along well with other cats. Will meow (talk) to you to get your attention. Enjoys being petted and loves wet cat food so much that he hurries to eat the wet food given to him so he can beg for more. He is not a petite boy but behaves well with the other cats. Matt needs that exceptional home so he can be a loving companion to the right person or family. .As always before adoption, all cats are spay/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, given distemper and rabies vaccines if old enough, flea and dewormer treatments if necessary.
