My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aloha! I'm Mahi,

I am a young and spirited love bird on a quest to find my forever home! I am as curious and smart as I am handsome. I'm a great climber but flying, I'm still perfecting. Even though I feel scared of hands while I'm in my enclosure once I'm out they don't bother me! I'm still trying to perfect my singing so I enjoy practicing, and I can say, I'm getting better and better everyday! I also truly enjoy foraging, especially when it's for millet. If I feel it's been too long since I've ben out I will let you know by climbing back and forth on the front of my enclosure door until you notice and open it for me. There are budgies here in my foster home and I enjoy chatting with them, but I would love to make a lovebird friend, I can understand them a lot better. Sometimes even with visual cues birds can trick humans, so my friends here at Little Lives DNA test all their feathered friends to be 100% certain. So no worries, I'm for sure male! Also included in my adoption fee is a wellness exam. Anyway I'm ready to embark on anew adventure with a loving family of my own so if you're looking to add a new feathered family member look no further and apply to adopt me! I can't wait to come home

Little Lives Small Animal Rescue is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization located in Tri-Cities, Washington. Our primary focus is on small animals such as rodents, reptiles, birds, etc.

We want to help our community as much as we can by rescuing small animals, reducing overpopulation, and educating the community on small animal care.
