Hello people in the Northeast, my name is Chico and I hail from the South, San Antonio Texas to be exact, and unfortunately I was a street dog, a little 3-year-old, 11 lb Chihuahua street dog. It’s tough out there when you're my size, but I like to think of myself as an independent adventurer. Even today while I am living in a foster home out in the country, I enjoy the outdoors and I’ll sit on the patio watching the deer and other critters that go by. I am a happy, medium-energy boy, friendly with people and other dogs, and shy at first with strangers, but my life as a street dog has taught me how to navigate most situations with finesse. I like being the leader when I have doggy friends, and I enjoy having playtime and running zoomies. I’m not the barky type but I do bark when I need to alert you. I don't dig or chew inappropriately. I enjoy doggy treats and being petted, and I will make a wonderful companion dog, enjoying life, enjoying nature, going for walks to scout around, and I am always excited to go for a ride in the car. I’m cute, I’m smart, and I’m ready to get this party started, move to Connecticut, and find a family of my own!
