My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Florence! This sweetheart is searching for a home where she can feel safe and loved - and once you have earned her trust, Flo will be your absolute best friend! Flo is currently residing in a volunteer foster home through Animal Advocates. Flo's fosters describe her as, "a playful, sweet cat who just wants to be loved.  She maybe a little shy at first, but quickly opens up and when she does, Flo will be obsessed with you!" Flo will now seek out her fosters for snuggling and purrs almost instantly.  She loves chasing after wand and laser pointer toys.

Flo has very distinct unusual orange, tan, grey "leopard" print fur.  Her birthday is approximated in June 2023. She has tested negative for Felv/FIV, up-to-date on vaccinations, treated for fleas/dewormed as well as spayed and microchipped. She lives with other cats at her foster home, but has "mixed" reviews and is more indifferent towards to the other cats (not aggressive at all). Flo will do best in a home with caregivers who are willing to take slow, measured steps to help her feel comfortable in a new environment and with any resident felines.   Flo really is in tune with people - comfortable and loving.

If you are interested in meeting a cat, the first step is to complete an online application located at www.animaladvocates.net (under the "Adopt" menu). Thank you for considering a rescue cat from Animal Advocates!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Guidelines:
- Before scheduling a meet-and-greet with one of our adoptable cats or dogs, you must complete an application and interview with an adoption team member.
- You must be 21 years or older.
- All animals in your home must be up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed / neutered.
- If you rent, we will need a copy of your lease stating the landlord permits pets along with the landlord’s contact information.
- We do not place animals as gifts for others.
- Adopted animals must be kept as indoor companions.
- We reserve the right to perform a home visit.

We aim to provide high quality care for the well-being of rescued cats and dogs until they are placed in forever homes. All animals are regularly vet checked, fully vaccinated, spayed / neutered and microchipped. They are routinely treated for fleas and worms as well as any medical issues.

Except for a limited number of cats fostered at our headquarters, our adoptable animals are cared for in loving volunteer foster homes. We get to know the pets’ personalities and needs very well, striving to make the best possible match for both animals and adopters.
