My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.

Mungo is a 1 year old handsome tabby boy who is in search of his forever home. He was abandoned at one of the vet clinics we use for our rescued animals and the staff called us to see if we would take him into our group. Our volunteers went and met him and that was it, we were smitten. He is a fabulous guy and could easily join a home with another kitty or cat savvy dog. He has perfect litter box skills, a good appetite, and a loving charm about him.

If you are looking to have just one kitty in the home, he could also be your guy. He would be a good lap warmer while you watch TV or work on your laptop. He also would love a cat tree with multiple levels to stretch out on. He is very playful and is obsessed with the toys his foster mom has given him. He will play for hours; he is affectionate but not needy. He can easily self-entertain or engage in playtime with his person. He is good either way. He has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Please read the biography on the dog first and if the dog sounds like a match, pls fill out an application on our website.

2.
Interview

We review applications and we choose the application(s) that appear to be the best match and we do a phone interview.

3.
Approve Application

If the Interview Team agrees it is a match, then we approve the home.

4.
Pay Fee

In order to make an appointment to meet the dog you are interested in, we require a $50 deposit that goes towards your adoption fee.

5.
Meet the Pet

Once the deposit is paid we then set up the home to meet the dog.

6.
Pay Fee

Pay the Fee and take the dog home!

Doggie Protective Services is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. Our rescued dogs and cats live in foster homes until we can find them appropriate, responsible, loving homes. We carefully screen potential adoptors through an application and interview process.
