My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT LENNY
He is an 1 year old shepherd mix. Lenny came to us from a high-intake shelter partner in West Virginia when they no longer had space for him. He was timid the first few days here but warmed up when he knew he was safe. He really comes to life with playtime and some treats. His favorite toys are anything that bounces or squeaks. He LOVES being outside and will sunbathe on the outdoor portion of his kennel. He also enjoys playing in our fenced fields with his favorite toys and his doggy friends. Lenny has done well with pups on walks and in doggy playgroups. He is much more confident around other dogs and will get the cutest zoomies! Lenny would likely do best with older kids, as fast/loud movements from new people can be scary to him.

Be sure to check back for more! In the meantime, you are welcome to submit an adoption questionnaire if interested in adoption! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog, but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
