You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.
If you love senior dogs, and have learned how the years polish an older dog into a beautiful, loving , soft, wise bundle, you will know instantly why you might want to adopt our Mackie. This sweet, sweet boy has been raised and cared for with great love and kindness, but suddenly he has been uprooted from his lifelong home and scheduled to be killed for no reason other than his family was broken and he had nowhere to go. Rescue stepped in at the last moment and we are so happy we did. He is perfectly housebroken, up to date on all his shots, loves other dogs, cats, has shown himself to be fine with children. In short, he is the whole package of a great dog! The part about loving other dogs? He was living with his best friends, Kyler, Peanut, and Nala when his world crashed. They all loved each other and did perfectly together. If you were thinking of getting a pair of dogs (or more?), here they are, ready made and easy. SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU FROM HIS FOSTER: Mackie is a super sweet 11 lb boy that still has spunk for a 10 year old. He is 100% housebroken, gets along with dogs, cats, birds, etc. He is not a barker when people come to the door or when he sees other animals, he’s very chill. He will cry when left alone for a short but that has gotten better as he has adjusted to his foster home. He walks great on a leash & he loves it when people stop to say hello. He loves being in a lap & is just the cutest little boy. No health issues, just had all of his shots. You can’t help falling in love with this boy once you meet him. Please help him find a living forever home.
