My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Milo arrived:
Milo was brought in by his previous owner on 4/28/24.

At SDHS:
Milo has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Milo is now ready for his new home!

Why this pet is the one for you:
This handsome fellow is Milo! Milo was adopted out for a bit of time, so we know a little bit about how he is in a home. Milo lived with a small child and was gentle, however, due to noted restraint sensitivity, our behavior team is recommending children over 10 years of age. There were no other dogs or cats in the home. It was noted that Milo is house trained and super energetic! With a little extra gentle guidance, Milo will be a very well mannered addition to your family.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
