Dogs? I've done well meeting other friendly dogs here at the shelter. I would probably enjoy a calmer doggy companion. Please bring any dogs in the home to meet.
Cats? Unknown. I may be able to live with cats after a supervised introductory period.
Kids? I can be shy with new people, but very silly and sweet after a second to come out of my shell! I'd like to live with older kiddos 10+. Please bring any kids in the home to meet to see how we get along.
Anything else you'd like us to know, Prince? I'm a goofy, adorable little buddy looking to zoom around the yard and snuggle with my new people! New things are a little scary to me, but I can't wait to be very brave and learn all about the wide world with my forever family!

Shelter Hours are 11 AM - 6 PM every day of the week.

Directions from east or west: From the east, take the Beltline or surface streets to Barger Rd, or West 11th, and head west to Greenhill Rd. Turn left on Greenhill Rd (from Barger) or right from West 11th; we're approximately a mile down the road. From the west, take Hwy. 126 to Greenhill Rd., turn left at Greenhill Rd.

Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.
Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.
Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
