My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌸🐾 Meet Lilypad from the Spring Creek litter! 🌸🐾

Hello there! I'm Lilypad, a bubbly 6-week-old pup with a sprinkle of Border Collie magic and maybe a dash of Aussie charm in my genes. I came to this world's attention in a rather unique way - found at the bottom of a huge ditch with my siblings, our amazing mom Spring, my playful sibling from another litter Ducky, and our potential dad Froggy. They say I won't grow too big, probably staying under 40lbs, which means I'm the perfect size for cuddles without taking up the whole bed!

I'm a little chatterbox and might even become a howler one day - imagine the songs we could sing together! 🎶 But don't worry, I promise it'll be music to your ears. I spend my days in the playful pose of downward dog, tail wagging in the hopes of finding a playmate. I'm not just fun; I'm also a beauty who loves snuggles. In short, I'm the perfect all-around pup for adventures and cozy evenings alike!

I’m all about the active life, ready to hike (once I figure out this whole leash thing, that is!) and chase balls like there’s no tomorrow. I’m a social butterfly, just waiting to charm my way into your heart with my wiggly butt and enthusiastic barks. Now, fetch? Haha, not my strong suit yet, but give me time! I’m too busy loving on my stuffed animals, chasing balls, and having tug-of-war battles with rope toys. And let me tell you, I'm not just energetic—I'm practically a motivational speaker for playtime! If I'm not actively playing, I'm probably planning my next adventure or convincing someone to join me in a game.

I absolutely adore my siblings and mom - we're like the Brady Bunch of the dog world, just with more tail wagging and less sitcom drama. When I met Flora, I was so eager to make friends that I practically nose-dived into a bush trying to sniff her out! 🌳🐶 As for needing another dog in my new home, well, I'm pretty playful. In fact, I'm like a walking advertisement for "Let's Have Fun!" So, whether it's a furry sibling or a human playmate, as long as the fun keeps coming, I'm happy! Who says you can't have a party of two or more? Now, cats...oh, those mysterious creatures! I met one once, and let's just say it was like trying to decipher ancient hieroglyphics. I was curious but cautious, giving the cat my best "I come in peace" look. Maybe with a little more practice, I'll master the art of cat-dog relations!

Now, I haven't quite mastered the intricacies of potty training yet. You could say I'm still getting the hang of the whole "outside is for pottying" concept. But fear not, I'm a quick learner and with a little patience and maybe a few treats (hint, hint), I'll have this potty training thing down in no time!

Oh, let's talk about the keys to unlocking my full potential through socialization and training! Socialization isn't just about making friends (although that's awesome too!). It's about helping me feel comfortable and confident in all sorts of situations. Meeting new people, dogs, and maybe even cats teaches me how to navigate the world with grace and charm. Plus, it prevents me from turning into a nervous Nellie when faced with the unknown. Now, onto training! This isn't just about learning tricks (although I'm a quick study, just saying). It's about setting boundaries, building trust, and enhancing our bond. When I understand what's expected of me, like where to do my business and how to walk politely on a leash, life becomes so much smoother for all of us.
